November Trunk Club Review
Honestly, I don’t know how anyone can start a blog “on the side” while still doing their day job. What was I thinking? 12 hour day job, chores at night, lecture the 16-year old about college, take care of the dogs, go to the gym, more chores, then go to sleep and start all over again. Kudos to those awesome super-mommas out there who have it all together and churn out well-written and witty blog posts every week. I’m lucky if I catch up once every few months. So yah, about those Trunk Club reviews! I may have skipped a couple of them, because a) I suck at this blogging thing, and b) I get distracted easily. It’s quite possible my last Trunk Club Review post is halfway done, but some other project caught my eye, and ooooh, shiny! Continue reading →
If you’ve already read my June Trunk Club Review, you’ll know my husband and I had a trip planned for Cuba this summer. I’m not much of a world traveler, so I’ve been super excited about this trip……but not so super excited about the heat and humidity. 😕 Thankfully, my stylist, Cassie, sent me some great pieces in my June Trunk to get started. Then a few days before we were scheduled to leave, Cassie reached out to me once again to see if I wanted to try any last minute pieces and a new Trunk was waiting for me on my doorstep within 2 days! Cuba here I come! Continue reading →
Our family doesn’t usually take summer vacation trips because my girls and I take an annual road trip from our current home in the South to my childhood home in Southern California. Spending our summers in SoCal is “vacation” enough for me. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to make our annual trek this year because my girls both have jobs now and my elderly dog is ill. Instead, my husband and I were invited to travel to Cuba with some close friends! Continue reading →
One of the luxuries of working from home is not having to waste money on a formal business wardrobe. I can work in my jeans & t-shirts, my athletic wear, or even my jammies if I want. And while it can be tempting to live in comfort clothes day in and day out, it gets boring after a while.
Today’s world of fashion has seen a burst of new “personal stylist” options. Stitch Fix and Trunk Club are two of my favorites. The idea is that you fill out a brief questionnaire about your likes and dislikes, and your very own personal stylist will hand select items for you to try on at home. You only pay for what you keep, and return the rest. Pretty simple. Continue reading →
While this is my first blog review for Stitch Fix, this is my 13th “Fix”! I have been using Stitch Fix since about 2015. It’s been a lifesaver for me on so many occasions when I simply didn’t have the time to go shopping. And I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to do in my (rare) spare time is spend it in them mall. After working a 12 hour day, doing chores around the house, getting dinner ready for my family, and taking care of my dogs, I barely have enough time to blink, let alone drive to the mall to fight the crowds, only to be disappointed that I couldn’t find what I was looking for. Wouldn’t it be great to have your own personal stylist? Well now you can! Continue reading →
