Let’s face it people, you just can’t drink a thick smoothie with those cute little decorative straws. I know it looks better for photo staging, but I’m all about keepin’ it real. These big fat boba straws are the best!

Nutmeg on Everything!

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved everything eggnog.  So when I accidentally put nutmeg in my morning green smoothie (I meant to use cinnamon), I was absolutely giddy with excitement when it came out tasting (almost) like eggnog!  This was intended to just be a plain smoothie with 3 simple ingredients to get my daily greens and nutrients and turned out to be such a treat.

Like many runners, I suffer from a variety of aches and pains as a result of long distance running.  And like most runners, I prefer to use natural approaches before reaching for a bottle of pills to ease my pains.

Pinterest is full of homemade remedies for everything from the common cold to upset tummies, and everything in between.  Versions of this “golden milk tea” recipe have been circulating Pinterest for a while, so I thought I’d give it a try.  After studying about a dozen different versions, I mixed and matched and tweaked it it a little until I was happy with the flavor.  It’s a pretty simple recipe and very easy to make.  Continue reading
